Louise Newsome starts with color, creating palettes that interact with light and space and harmonize with the natural surroundings of her clients' homes. Once the canvas of a room has been washed in color and light, Louise begins the balance of the orchestration - furnishings, rugs, paintings, objects - all arranged to create spaces that are beautiful as well as functional. Working closely with her clients, their architects, builders, and landscape designers, Louise takes an integrative approach to the design process. The effect is a harmonious, aesthetically pleasing living space where materials, finishes, and features work together with lighting and furnishings - and most of all, color.
Newsome Color creates rooms that are contemporary and fresh, personal and warm. "What truly lights a space are the people who inhabit it," says Louise. "Our role is to bring together the vision of our clients with the talents of an entire team, creating an alchemy that makes dream homes a reality." Louise Newsome understands the importance of collaborating not only with the creative team, but also with clients who themselves have inspiring visions for their homes. Louise interprets these visions and combines them with her own expertise in color and design, creating beautiful home interiors clients will love for years to come.
The River Ridge Estates project presents an ideal setting for collaboration among the creative team and the client to develop personal, unique homes that fuse style, sensitivity, and quality with the Hudson River's ever-changing views and famous painterly light. Built into the landscape, River Ridge Estates homes also reference the art and history of the Hudson River School. A mid-19th-century American art movement led by famous landscape painters who where continually inspired by the river and its romance, the luminescence of their work continues to influence the many fine artists living in Nyack today. Louise Newsome is one such artist, referencing this historic period to create homes that are the clients' own masterpiece.
